Modal Math was born out of the belief that we can do better for our students with diverse language learning needs.

Modal Math is a math practice tool for students that benefit from multiple methods of language input. Designed by a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing,  the goal is to provide math practice for all students, regardless of language needs, while building confidence and literacy. Modal Math content is delivered through four modalities: 

1. Sign Language

2. Voice

3. Visuals, Graphics and Animation

4. Written Text
